I was about to think that this year of culture in Castellón, I would close with the bitter taste that left us on the one hand, news of the completion of the new sculpture of the ubiquitous "artist" of the court, Juan Ripoll and other The exhibition of "artists" of the Cultural Association of our city, but fortunately, after this bitter experience, luck takes pity on us and on Tuesday 15th until the 31st of this month of December will be open to public Provincial Cultural Center of the classrooms, the exhibition "les Acuarel" the painter Vincent Saguntine Román (Sagunto, 1952).
This time, the experienced painter gives us a sample of about 13 large pieces, all with the theme of sea and held at the complex, difficult but always beautiful watercolor technique, which is Roman Vincent considered by the critics, all of a trained teacher.
His works of great fluency and control gestures, tells us about a fresh and spontaneous result, turning the discourse of reason in scenes of great beauty and lyricism. It is appreciated the lack of ornamentation, sometimes free, they tend to magnify superficial and "cheesy" of beautiful, widely used by Moreover, for commercial and amateur painters, which shed almost always with this resource, a more proper decorating shops, bazaars and department stores in these works, is not present. Romantic painters of the first half of the nineteenth century as the English William Turner, (second image of the paragraph) but strangely this time, Vincent Roman presents us in a more suggestive and current, making each table, a beautiful abstract design chosen scenario, where spontaneity and freshness of the language of watercolor, which he seems to rise in imaginary podium to recite his most beautiful poems.
Suffice it to say that I recommend very warmly you all, one must visit to this exhibition, for surely this itself is one of those examples of which can not only enjoy the artistic discourse proposal, but also learn a lot from his exquisite technique. And is that exposing Vincent Roman, is balm for the eyes.
