The coordinated activity of Professor Maria Paz Hippotherapy Monreal,
initiative lies with the Municipal Corporation of Education with the support of Lancers Regiment.

Hippotherapy program is for children with disabilities, from schools dependent on the Municipal Corporation of Education. The implementation of the workshop is the responsibility of the multidisciplinary team of Municipal Corporation of Education, which is coordinated by Professor Maria Monreal Peace.
The overall objective of the program is to foster the development of the social, cognitive and physical functional motor of children and youth with special educational needs integrated into the community of Natales.
Hippotherapy is a world-renowned rehabilitation activity. It is a form of therapy where the person takes various positions guided by a specialist maximizing the rocking motion of the horse. When riding the child must adapt and react to movements, stimulating muscle tone, balance, mobility and coordination, using the healing power of horses for the rehabilitation of people with neurodegenerative diseases, trauma, physical disabilities, psychological problems, behavioral, emotional, self-esteem, adaptation and interaction, communication, sensory, cognitive, and others.
